John (JD) has over 40 years experience in business, real estate and financing, and is now concentrating on Mergers and Acquisitions as an Investment Banker.John holds a Series 82 Investment Banker and Private Placement representative registrations.* He also maintains a California real estate broker’s license.
John began his career as a registered architect then served in the USAF before returning to private practice. From there, John transitioned into full time real estate development, and was a licensed General Contractor. While in real estate development, John was responsible for packaging and securing well over $150 million in loans for development projects around the U. S., ranging from $15 to over $30 million each.
John has owned and operated a health-related professional company and two construction companies. While doing so, he has become intimately familiar with the financial needs and structures of businesses for both growth and profitability. Since 2000, John has applied his years of business experience as co-owner and CFO of Sunbelt Business Brokers in San Jose, California, successfully working with buyers and sellers to structure sales and acquisitions of numerous business entities.
He also brings unique financial resources such as flexible Structured Sales and passive investment portfolio lending to secure funds for both all types of transactions. John is a proven deal maker and intermediary, bringing buyers and sellers together in mutually beneficial solutions. He has dealt successfully in a wide spectrum of industries, quickly coming to understand the underlying business model and the needs of all parties involved. He has dealt with companies ranging in size from $1,000,000 to $100,000,000 in industries such as manufacturing, automotive, construction, business services and medical.
John lives in San Jose, CA with his wife of 28 years. They have two grown children and two grandchildren. Both Joan and John are active in their church and community based Bible studies.
